About the Journal
Focus and Scope
The Agronomic Crop Journal (Agronomic Crop J.) is a scientific journal edited by the Faculty of Engineering of Ilha Solteira of São Paulo State University “Júlio de Mesquita Filho” - UNESP since 1992, with the purpose of publishing original manuscripts, scientific notes and article review (when invited by the Editorial Board), which are of significant importance in the areas of Agronomy, Animal Science, Agricultural Engineering, Forest Engineering and Biology.

Since 2018, all published manuscripts have DOI.

Peer Review Process
The manuscripts submitted to the Agronomic Crop Journal are initially evaluated for verification of the existence of plagiarism, through a specific program (Turnitin). Then, they go through the evaluation of the Standardization Editors, to check if it meets the Journal's Rules.
Only after these initial evaluations, if approved, is the manuscript sent to the Section Editor, who can appoint at least two ad-hoc reviewers to check and review an opinion within twenty days. This term can be extended according to the availability of the reviewers.
The process of manuscript evaluating occurs through the double-blind peer evaluation system, that is, the manuscripts can not contain any identification of the authors, just as the authors do not have access to the identity of the evaluators or reviewers.
After receiving the opinion of the reviewer (s), the manuscripts are evaluated by the Section Editor, who will inform the authors of the decision: Approved for publication, if the proposed corrections are met; or Denied for publication and archived.
After the editorial decision, the corresponding authors will have up to fifteen days to return the corrected manuscript. At the end of this period, if the corrections are not sent without justification, the manuscript may be excluded from the evaluation and filed.
After receiving the reviewers' suggestions and the Editor's Section's final opinion and the Editor-in-Chief check, the manuscript will be forwarded for text and layout editing for later publication.Publication Frequency
Revista Cultura Agronômica / Agronomic Crop Journal is published quarterly, that is, are publishes four issues per year.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Declaration of Ethics and Good Practices
Revista Cultura Agronômica / Agronomic Crop Journal follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publications Ethics (COPE).
This Journal takes the responsibility to enforce a rigorous peer-review together with strict ethical policies and standards to ensure to add high quality scientific works to the field of scholarly publication. Unfortunately, cases of plagiarism, data falsification, inappropriate authorship credit, and the like, do arise. A Revista Cultura Agronômica takes such publishing ethics issues very seriously and our editors are trained to proceed in such cases with a zero tolerance policy. To verify the originality of content submitted to our journals, we use Turnitin program to check submissions against previous publications. In case of ethical misconduct, the submitted manuscript will be denied and filed.
Journal History
After completing 10 years of its implementation, the Agronomy Course at the Faculty of Ilha Solteira, celebrated this date by making the scientific Agronomic Crop Journal available to professionals in the field of Agrarian Sciences, students and farmers. Thus, this period aims to collaborate, mainly, with national agriculture, enriching its bibliographic collection, and above all, extending new research information to society.
The magazine CULTURA AGRONÔMICA is the result of a dedicated university research work, involving professors and students.
Thus, your conclusive and valuable information should not remain exclusively on the university premises. Therefore, it was expected that its launch would achieve these objectives, in order to contribute to the increase in national agricultural productivity.
