Abstract

The objective was to investigate the associations between working from home during the Covid-19 pandemic and variables related to the physical and mental health of public service workers. A sociodemographic questionnaire, body mapping, the Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale (GAD-7), and the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) were used. Descriptive statistics and Pearson's correlation test were performed between demographic variables. Working from home during the pandemic resulted in work overload, mainly for women, due to the various roles assumed, unfavorable working conditions, and difficulties in reconciling professional and family life, impacting physical and mental health.
