ADAPTACIÓN MARGINAL DE TRES COPINGS DE TRES SISTEMAS CERÁMICOS EN FUNCIÓN DE DOS DIFERENTES TIPOS DE TERMINACIÓN CERVICAL.

Resumen

Este trabajo tuvo como objetivo evaluar in vitro la exactitud de la fijación marginal de copings de tres sistemas cerámicos: IN-Ceram; IPS Empress 2 y Procera All Ceram. Además fueron establecidas dos variaciones de terminación cervical diferentes: ombro 90º y "chanfro" (corte angular). Para este propósito, dos incisivos central superiores de manequies idénticos recibieron preparación patronizada para corona total, variando solamente la terminación cervical, de forna que uno recibió la terminación en ombro con un ángulo interno arredondado de 90 º y el otro , "chanfro". Así, seis tipos de tratamientos fueron establecidos: IO (In- Ceram/ombro); IC (In-Ceram/Chanfro); EO (Empress/Ombro); EC Empress/Chanfro); PO (Procera/Ombro); PC (Procera/Chanfro). Para la confección de dos copings, los dientes ya preparados fueron reproducidos en estructuras de yeso por medio de moldes patronizados com silicona adherente, donde setenta y dos copings fueron confeccionados, subdivididos en tres grupos de veinticuatro para cada tipo de material cerámico. Dentro de cada grupo, la mitad de las subestructuras fueron construidas para preparación com término cervical en ombro 90º, y otra mitad para término cervical en "chanfro". El desajuste marginal de los copings fue evaluado y medido en óptica microscópica con aumento de cuarenta veces, a partir de la observación de los moldes de abertura marginal de cada muestra con silicona de adhesión líquida. Para cada muestra, doce medidas fueron tomadas, y la media de los resultados mostraron una variación de 23,08 a 36,11 um. Los grupos del sistema Procera PO y PC presentaron los mejores resultados (233,08 y 25,77 um respectivamente) y se diferenciaron estadísticamente del grupo IO (36,11um), que presentó el resultado peor. Entre los demás grupos no hubo diferencia estadística significante, y los resultados medios encontrados fueron: IC (26,46um); EO (29,51um); EC (27,94um). En relación al tipo de terminación cervical, el análisis estadístico no fue conclusivo, aunque sugere un mejor comportamiento de 'chanfro", pues los grupos con este tipo de término cervical presentaron desvío padrón bajo en comparación a los grupos com ombro 90º. En función de los resultados obtenidos se puede concluir que los resultados medios de todos los tratamientos estudiados quedaron dentro del patamar de aceptabilidad clínica establecida de 25 a 40um.
