Abstract

The project "education, memory, forgetfulness and fun games workshop for seniors" is an extension work focused on the encouragement of senior citizen's cognitive performance and on the possibility of expanding their social interaction network. It is a permanent proposal that aims to contribute to memory performance, expanding the social network and self-efficacy sense of participants. In this way, based on the stimulus activities that have the axis on the autobiography building, on the participants observation and on the records produced in the course of these meetings, we analyzed how older people interpret the impact of such experience on their cognitive, functional and instrumental abilities in their everyday lives. These analyzes also support the development of teaching strategies that focus on the elderly students and on the production of information for the internship and bachelor degree courses at the UFF / Campos dos Goytacazes.
