THE CHESS EDUCATION AS TOOL IN THE PROCESS OF INFANTILE LEARNING.

By using chess game, it is possible to create situations where the player develops skills to face and solve problems throughout his life. To take profit from the game, rules and opponents must be respected, as well as life in theory. Besides hierarchy imposed between the stronger and the weaker, which determines qualities, differing a pawn from the so important king, which is the leader of the game. The first proposal of this project is to use the chess game as a tool on children learning process, helping either the intellectually as well as the socially growth. The work is developed according to the following chess teaching steps: chess history, the chess-board, the pieces, special moves, xeque and xeque kill, game notation, time counting, besides analysis and consideration on a chess game. Each of these stages is developed along with parallel activities, writing and mathematics, in order to work with interdisciplinary. It has been possible to verify that the project has contributed to children developing, since in the childhood education the game is a requirement, because working with convenient materials, children integrate themselves, absorbing intellectual realities and feeling capable of making their job. Included in this chess project, children socialize and end up being privileged in the issue knowledge.
